武则天作为一名女性登基称帝,完成了堪称伟大奇迹的成功逆袭,是改变万千女性命运的一次千载难逢的重大机遇。但武则天没有抓住这次机遇,她仅仅是给自己和极少数贵族女性的生活带来了重大变化,并没有从根本上推动广大女性命运的改变。不仅是在武则天主政的时代,而且终整个封建社会,男尊女卑的格局都没有发生根本变化,普通女性都被束缚在家庭里,不能参加社会工作,不能享有参政的权利。

As the first queen in history,Wu Zetian completed the great miracle of the successful gender subversion which was supposed to greatly change the fate of thousands of women's. But Wu Zetian did not save this opportunity to fundamentally promote the fate of the majority of women but only for herself and a very small number of aristocratic women. The patriarchal pattern didn't get fundamental change either in the era of Wu Zetian or throughout the whole feudal society. So ordinary women were still bound in the families and could not participate in social work or enjoy the right to participate in politics.
