《水浒传》中的宋江是一个集江湖义气、对主忠、于父孝等封建伦理道德于一身的典范。就"忠君"、"仁义"、"孝顺"某个独立的方面而论,宋江不愧是"忠君"的楷模、"仁义"的化身、"孝顺"的榜样。然而由于宋江身兼小吏、江湖义士、人子三种身份,导致了其思想性格中"忠"与"义"、"义"与"孝"、"忠"与"孝"思想的尖锐冲突,这种冲突集中体现了宋江形象的性格悲剧,也是封建伦理道德的悲剧。

Song Jiang in The Water Margin was a feudal ethics model with loyalty to brotherhood,emperor and parents. He proved to be a real loyalty model,benevolence embodiment and filial piety example. However,Song Jiang had three identities of official,loyalty man and son of a family,which led to the character conflict among loyalty,justice and filial piety. The conflict embodied Song Jiang's character tragedy and also the tragedy of the feudal ethics.
