张横、张顺在水浒故事蓝本中有不同的形象来源，因姓名、形象等糅合诸多因素在《水浒传》中演变为亲兄弟。虽《水浒传》对张横、张顺兄弟着墨不多，却展现出了兄弟二人和而不同的形象风貌，两人重情重义的同时，又各自呈现出鲁莽冲动、机智沉稳等截然不同的性格特征。书中对兄弟二人的形象塑造颇具匠心，尤其对于张顺形象，运用了肖像、动作、环境、对比衬托等多种人物塑造手法。

Zhang Heng and Zhang Shun had different image sources in the Water Margin story, and due to the combination of various factors such as name and image, they evolved into blood brothers in The Water Margin. Although there was not much description of the brothers, the novel presented distinct image and style. The two individuals placed great emphasis on emotions and loyalty, yet exhibited vastly different personality traits of recklessness, impulsiveness, wit and composure. The portrayal of the two brothers in the book is quite ingenious, with various techniques such as portrait, movement, environment, and contrast.
