从故事编年的层面对《水浒传》进行研究,何心先生是第一人。何心先生这种做法不仅"很别致",而且也很有意义:第一,有利于《水浒传》的传播;第二,可以为《水浒传》之成书研究提供有益的帮助;第三,为中国古代长篇小说的研究提供了一种可资借鉴的模式。然而何心先生之《水浒传编年》也存在明显的局限,主要表现为:第一,某些事情的发生时间明显存在错误;第二,事件遗漏现象比较严重;第三,对存在于《水浒传》中的时间错乱现象重视不够;第四,把七十一回以后之事置于《水浒传编年》之外,显得不完整。
Abstract：Mr.He Xin was the first one to study the Water Margin in terms of the chronicle.This is very special and significant: firstly it helps the Water Margin spread;secondly it gives some useful support to studying the writing time of the novel;thirdly it presents a model of studying ancient Chinese novels for reference.However,there were obvious limitations in his chronicle of the Water Margin: wrong time for some incidents;too many omissions;not enough attention paid to time errors;seeming incomplete when the things happened after Chapter 71 was not included in the chronicle.
