摘要(Abstract)：

<正> Sociolinguistics could be be taken to refer to use of linguistic data and analysis inother disciplines,concerned with social life,and conversely,to use of social data and analysis inlinguistics.The word could also be taken to tefer to correlations between languanges andsocieties.In simple words,it may contribute to an understanding of who speaks what languageto whom,where,when and why in a certain community.Ever since it came into being,it hasthrown light in language teaching,Actually,the theory of sociolinguistics plays an important rolein the process of language teaching.
